The Upper-Sûre Lake
At a distance of 12 km from the campsite, this beautiful lake offers not only outstanding views but also the best opportunity of swimming, diving, fishing, hiking and mountain biking. The villages Insenborn, Lultzhausen and Liefrange have the best beaches for swimming.
Luxembourg city
Luxembourg City, the capital of the only Grand Duchy in the world, will surprise you with its delights. From the campsite you can easily get there by train . The nearest trainstation is 5 km away and public transport is for free in Luxembourg.
Vianden
Vianden is one of the most popular villages to visit in Luxemburg mainly because of the renovated castle that is considered the most beautiful in the Ardennes. During high season, the so called 'Middle Age Feast' takes place in the castle.
Furthermore you can find the only chairlift of Luxembourg in Vianden, it takes you over the river 'Our' to a height of 440 m and offers an exceptional view over the valley.
Clervaux
Clervaux is situated in a deep and narrow valley beside the river Clerve in the inmidst of the Ardennes. The Benedictine Abbey, built in 1910 in romanesque-burgundian style, dominates the valley. What makes Clervaux even more interesting is the exhibition of the 'Family of Man', a photographic legend at Clervaux Castle. (click on the picture for more info about the Family of Man)
Esch-sur-Sûre
This charming old village is 8 km away from the campsite. It is surrounded by the river 'Sûre' and has some beautiful castle ruins atop of rocky mountains.
Müllerthal
This is Luxembourg's very own 'little Switzerland' and has beautiful landscapes with rock formations and small waterfalls.
Bourscheid
Bourscheid is only 8km away from the campsite and is known for it's beautiful old castle, for the amazing viewpoints and the excellent hiking paths.
Wiltz
Wiltz is one of the bigger 'towns' in the north of Luxembourg and has a beautifully renovated castle. This is where one can find it's famous beer museum and brewery. Moreover, the Festival of Wiltz presents every year in July, some of the biggest artists of our time.
